A line of tablet computers known as the iPad Pro 2nd Generation was created, produced, and sold by Apple Inc. The 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch models, which represented an improvement over the previous generation, were both unveiled on June 5, 2017. The latest models have a more potent A10X Fusion processor and increased storage capacities of up to 512 GB and were created to be bigger, stronger, and more versatile than the older models.
While the 10.5-inch model had a larger display than the 9.7-inch model it replaced, the 12.9-inch model had an updated design. The increased size and stylus compatibility distinguished these models from other iPads on the market and made them compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil. The 10.5-inch model was upgraded with ProMotion display technology, which supported HDR10 and Dolby Vision video. It also included a 120 Hz refresh rate and a True Tone display that was 50% brighter than the previous models.
Along with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with quad-LED True-Tone flash and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera with Retina Flash, the iPads also included an updated A10X SoC with a 6-core CPU and 12-core GPU. The second-generation iPad Pro was the first to allow rapid charging via USB-C and USB 3.0 speeds utilizing Lightning cords.

The 12.9-inch model was discontinued when the third-generation iPad Pro was unveiled on October 30, 2018, while the 10.5-inch and 11-inch models were still manufactured up until March 18, 2019, when the third-generation iPad Air was revealed. The third-generation iPad Pro does away with the home button in favor of navigation gestures and Face ID for authentication, making the second-generation iPad Pro the final model to have one.
The very advanced third-generation iPad Pro was made possible because of the overall enormous improvements made by the second-generation device over its predecessor. The second-generation iPad Pro was a popular choice among consumers looking for a tablet that could provide a high degree of performance and utility due to its larger size, more potent processor, and adaptable design.
