Travel

There are two common starting sites for Champadevi Hiking: Chalnakhel and Hattiban Resort. You can pick whatever location you prefer because they are both on the same path, which can be reached by taxi or local bus from Kathmandu.

From Ratna Park (Sundhara), take a bus to Dakshinkali Temple or go to Balkhu Chowk and wait for the bus going towards Dakshinkali Temple

Chalnakhel Route: After you have onboarded the bus, request that the driver stops at Chalnakhel Chowk. Each participant must pay Rs. 30 for the bus travel. It should take about 30 minutes to get to the trailhead from Chalnakhel Chowk if you head westward in that direction. Throughout the route, you can take in the stunning countryside and hills.

Hattiban Resort Route: You can drop off at the Hattiban Resort gate on the route to the Dakshinkali Temple and begin rising towards the resort; this should take around 20 minutes. You can start your trip to Champadevi Temple after you reach the top of the resort.

The hike to the temple takes about roughly 3-5 hours and is considered moderate in difficulty, with some steep uphill sections.
