Rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and producer Drake is a Canadian whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham. The son of a Black father and a Jewish mother, Drake was born on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Canada.

From 2001 through 2009, Drake first worked in the entertainment business as an actor, portraying Jimmy Brooks in the well-known Canadian adolescent drama series “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” He ultimately switched to a profession in music, but his love for music never faltered.

When his debut mixtape, “Room for Improvement,” was released in 2006, Drake made his musical debut. But it wasn’t until 2009 that his third mixtape, “So Far Gone,” brought him mainstream success. The smash song “Best I Ever Had” from the mixtape reached its peak position of number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Drake’s first studio album, “Thank Me Later,” was released in 2010, and it debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart. Hit songs from the album included “Find Your Love” and “Fancy.” Drake’s standing as a musical icon was cemented by his succeeding albums, “Take Care” (2011), “Nothing Was the Same” (2013), and “Views” (2016), each of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 list.

Drake has received many honors during his career, including 27 Billboard Music Awards, six American Music Awards, and four Grammy Awards. He has also broken a number of records, such as the most top 10 singles in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 list and the most songs by a solo artist to chart on the chart.

Drake has pursued business endeavors outside of his lucrative music career. He has his own record company, OVO Sound, and has signed a number of musicians to it. He also started his own clothing brand, OVO, and dabbled in acting, showing up in movies like “Think Like a Man Too” and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”

Much interest has also been paid to Drake’s private life. His romantic relationships with a number of famous women, including Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, have been well-publicized. He is renowned for keeping his personal affairs private and hardly ever addresses them in public.

Ultimately, Drake’s ability to connect with his audience, his ability to merge singing and rapping, and his openness to attempt new sounds and styles are all factors in his success in the entertainment industry. He has established himself as one of the largest and most significant artists of his generation and irreparably altered the music business.
