The Wi-Fi variants have storage options with 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. The Wi-Fi + Cellular devices came in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The gadget was sleekly designed, with measurements of 12 inches (305.7 mm) in height, 8.68 inches (220.6 mm) in width, and 0.27 inches in depth (6.9 mm). While the Wi-Fi + Cellular devices weighed 1.59 pounds (713 grams), the Wi-Fi models weighed 1.57 pounds (713 grams) (723 grams).

The device supports Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) communication standards. In addition, UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA, GSM/EDGE, CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B, and LTE were supported by the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions. The device’s integrated 38.5-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery provides up to 10 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or video viewing. The Wi-Fi + Cellular devices provide up to 9 hours of cellular data web browsing.
With iOS 10, which came pre-installed on the iPad Pro 1st Generation, the gadget came to life in more intelligent and expressive ways. Additionally, Touch ID was built into the device, enabling users to unlock it and make purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store. Additionally, Apple Pay could be used on the iPhone to make purchases with just a touch.
